MARVEL GROUP is a family company with business background of 105 years. Based in MUMBAI City and Ankleshwar Gujarat-India. The Group started a production unit in backward district of Bharuch to provide employment opportunities to the people from rural area and to help them to improve their living standards. Thus, the first manufacturing unit MARVEL GLOVES INDUSTRIES was founded in 1980 for the manufacture of machine knit gloves at Ankleshwar, a small town in Gujarat State of India. In the initial stage the unit faced many hurdles, all the workers being inexperienced were trained to work in the factory. Ultimate goal was achieved. Gujarat State is No.1 Industrial Hub of India.
Marvel Gloves Industries was very successful after toiling for 3 Years to develop the market of SHIMA SEIKI–JAPAN Fully Automatic Computerized Seamless work safety Gloves. In Indian Industries awareness & concept of work safety to avoid workplace accidents and worker’s injury of hands while working. In 1984 onwards use of safety knitted seamless work gloves started with the entry of Foreign Collaboration Automobile units like Maruti Suzuki, Hero Honda, TVS Suzuki, DCM Toyota, Kinetic Honda, Eicher Motors, General Motors, ONGC made mandatory use of safety gloves in their plants for worker’s safety and efficiency. The Motto of Marvel Management was to promote the use of safety knitted gloves in Indian Industries. Despite being small manufacturing unit, WE DISTRIBUTED FREE SAMPLES OF GLOVES FOR TRIAL AND TO FIND OUT THE BENEFITS. The Concept of Seamless Knitted Gloves already there in All Japanese companies since 1960. Our Hard work and Marketing Promotion boosted our sales for safety gloves after UNION CARBIDE BHOPAL PLANT GAS LEAKAGE TRAGEDY which compelled all foreign collaboration companies in India to make use of Safety Gloves and Personal Protective Equipment’s for the Safety & protection of workers and to increase productivity and avoid accidents while working. MARVEL has played Major Rolle in promotion of the use of Machine knit seamless work Gloves in Indian Industries. The sincere efforts Marvel Group were rewarded with the most prestigious National Award for Quality Products and was given by the President of India. Our knitted gloves were widely accepted by domestic and global buyers for its quality.
After success of first unit, the Group started 2nd Gloves knitting unit named AKFA GLOVES INDUSTRIES at Ankleshwar in 1994 which also provided employment to backward class people. As we believed in Quality, Service and our customers, we achieved success in 2nd Unit.
Our success in 2 units encouraged us to start 3rd Gloves knitting unit in the name of FAB INDUSTRIES at Ankleshwar in 1996. Later we started 3rd Unit Fab Industries for production of PVC Dotted knitted gloves. With consistent quality efforts FAB INDUSTRIES has won 2nd NATIONAL AWARD FOR QUALITY PRODUCTS” which was given by the Late President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam at a function held in NEW DELHI

The organised sector includes workers employed by the government, state-owned enterprises and private sector enterprises. In 2008, the organised sector employed 27.5 million workers, of which 17.3 million worked for government or government owned entities.

According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), more than 337 million accidents happen on the job each year, resulting, together with occupational diseases, in more than 2.3 million deaths annually. While as per ILO estimates that around 403000 people die in India due to work related problems. Indian Workers do not enjoy privileges
and rights that are available to Industrial workers of the Developed countries like USA,EUROPE,JAPAN and workers are provided with Safety Gloves and Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPEs). Marvel Group is making representations to Government Authorities & Industries to provide adequate Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPE’s) to avoid Injuries and work related accidents and deaths which are highest in India. We shall submit our detailed report to Government of India Organization and also will request to make use safety Gloves and Personal Protective equipment’s to avoid work related accidents and work place accidental deaths.
We are also thankful to our valued customers for their support and faith in us. Today the unit is providing employment to more than 400 village people around our factory. We also thank our Banker “BANK OF INDIA” one of the largest Bank in India with whom our family is banking since 1936 and the bank has supported us financially in our all the projects keeping faith in our Group.
Our units are accredited to ISO 9001:2000 Quality certification for knitted gloves and manufacturing facilities and are also CRISIL rated. Gloves manufactured by these units are accepted in Domestic and Global Market
The Group is planning expansion of their existing units by importing gloves knitting machines and dipping/coating machines considering the Global and Domestic growth of Gloves Market in 2016 by adopting Slogan MAKE IN INDIA by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and our Slogan is WORK SAFE IN INDIA to avoid work related injuries, loss of life.
